| Physiotherapy / Consultation |
|
|
Your Physiotherapist will obtain a detailed account of your problem, a history of any past episodes you may have had and relevant facts about your general health.
A physical assessment will then be done to aid in clinical diagnosis of your condition. Treatment modalities will be individually tailored to your needs to successfully mange your problem. The selected treatment plan will be discussed with you, including an estimate of the length of treatment required and the expected outcome. You will be encouraged to ask questions about your condition and will be advised about its management and prevention of recurrence in the future.
If appropriate and with your consent then a letter can be written to your general practitioner informing them of our findings and recommendations for treatment or further investigation.
If your problem is not amenable to physiotherapy intervention then you will be informed of the advised root to best resolve your problem.
Your initial consultation will usually last 40 minutes. Subsequent treatment times may vary depending on the treatment required. |
