Ann Brennan Dip. Phyt. MNIMH
In 1994 Ann undertook a herbal studies course and after qualifying in 1996 she decided to broaden her knowledge and trained as a medical herbalist. During her course she studied orthodox medical science, including anatomy, physiology, pathology, biochemistry, pharmacology, clinical and differential diagnosis, nutrition and medical laboratory science. Whilst training, she worked in natural health clinics and shops and gained valuable experience working alongside practitioners from various complementary disciplines. She also trained with some of the leading producers of natural cosmetics and health care products in the UK.
Ann also combines her training and experience to offer consultations on nutrition. It was as a trainee chef in the early 1990s that Ann first started to learn about the vital role nutrition plays in achieving good health. As her training progressed, she increasingly focused on nutritional science and catering for speciality diets.
Shortly after qualifying and establishing her own practice in 2002, Ann undertook further training in aromatic medicine and became a registered Foresight practitioner in pre-conceptual care for infertility. In 2008 Ann became a Koren Specific Technique practitioner. She was personally trained by author and educator Dr. Tedd Koren, the developer of this incredible new technique.
Ann regularly gives talks and runs courses on nutrition, herbs and essential oils.
